Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey 2021”

The “Cool Grey” colorway of the Air Jordan 11 first released in 2001 and later returned in 2010. This 2021 version will come with a higher-cut patent leather, White Jumpman.

Initially debuted in 1995 as Michael Jordan’s 11th signature sneaker, the Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey was designed by none other than legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield and was the first Jordan silhouette to house patent leather and carbon-fibre elements.

The silhouette is fitted with the “Cool Grey” nubuck upper, a contoured grey patent-leather mudguard, a sculpted white foam midsole and an icy blue rubber outsole. Additional design details include the Air-Sole unit for lightweight cushioning and carbon fiber components for added stability.

The Air Jordan 11 is a legendary Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker that stands out as both the favorite of Jordan himself and the sneaker designer. Originally released in 1995, the Air Jordan 11 shoes made NBA history during Michael Jordan’s legendary 72-10 season with the Bulls.The Air Jordan XI is one of the most popular Air Jordans in the series and is Hatfield’s favorite.

How much do Jordan 11s weigh?

16.5 ounces which is half an ounce more than the X which I wrote about last week. I can almost guarantee people will say it doesn’t feel heavy while they say the X does.

Pros: SEXY, traction when clean, cushioning, fit, stability, containment

Cons: traction gets iffy when rubber gets harder/older and can get slick on dusty floors, cushioning could be updated but not needed, carbon fiber makes shoe stiffer than newer shoes
