Don C and Jordan Brand utilize the “Black Toe” look on the Jordan Legacy 312 Low. Equipped with a full leather construction on the upper, this Jordan Legacy 312 Low starts off by being covered in White which is then joined by black and red on the overlays, branding, midsole, and inner liner.
A highlighting detail of the shoe is the elephant print just above the midsole. The shoe’s signature lower strap comes in black with red Nike branding that matches the Swoosh and heel accents. The shoe sits a top a grey rubber outsole to round out the design.
In addition, we have the traditional mid-foot strap while a Jordan 3-inspired rubber outsole completes the look.
What is the story behind Jordan Legacy 312?
The 312 is a tribute to Chicago that’s equally inspired by MJ and today’s multi-faceted youth. Its name references the 312 area code of the city, as well as the shoe’s juxtaposition of the Air Jordan 1 and 3. “I wanted the Jordan Legacy 312 to have the sole of the Jordan 3, because to me, that shoe is the foundation of the brand”, Don explains. “The 1s and the 2s were Nikes first. The 3s were Jordans. That’s when the brand became the brand. I’ve always felt that the foundation of the brand is the 3, but it was built on the 1 first”.
