Nike Air Jordan 4 Alternate

Giving a nod to Player Exclusives, the “Alternate ’89” edition of the classic Air Jordan 4 silhouette is dressed in the Chicago Bulls early “Home” colors – giving a look at what Michael Jordan could have worn during that era.

The leather panels are really nice touches to the shoe. Featuring a full smooth and premium tumbled leather White-based upper, with Red accents throughout, and wording of “Alternate ’89” behind the back pull tab. The toe and heel panels are smooth while the main panels are tumbled. Their Cherry Red midsole is beautiful as well. I think the red netting is a bit much, but it’s not a deal breaker by any means.

Are Air Jordan 4 Comfortable?

The Air Jordan 4 is not known for being a comfortable shoe right out of the box. The older technology doesn’t offer much cushioning and the materials are typically very stiff. Usually, some break-in time is required.

Are Air Jordan 4 Good For Basketball?

While one could play basketball in an Air Jordan retro, it is not advisable given the more technically advanced modern basketball sneakers available. Today’s tech surpasses that of the 80s and 90s by leaps and bounds with respect to on-court performance.
